And I'm ready to roll, outdoors, indoors, festivals, clubs, receptions whatever. I even have a tux and my own electricity, if needed.
Three choices for music:
1. Classy. I've written about 100 songs and I love to do my own stuff, and I mix in great standards and soft country classics. Play a few instrumentals too. It's a low key, jazz-y sound.
2. The POP list. You'll see a partial play list link over on the left. It runs from Eagles to John Denver to James Taylor with a healthy portion of Jimmy Buffett. Just enough beach and country to keep the natives quiet.
3. The folk/family set. I play straight acoustic at outdoor (or indoor) events. Bring my banjo and mix in lots of singalongs and family stuff. Americana classics from the golden age of folk music with some gospel, Scottish, and Irish music too.
You control the volume button. I use a BOSE pro system which does a great job of delivering sound.
I host city events in Blowing Rock every year. (check out last year's show) with a couple of musical buddies, washtub bass, banjo, and we break out the classic Americana, Irish, and other folk music. I've done everything from St Patrick's Day to Scottish calleighs to Margarita parties.
